The Los Angeles Rams have not enjoyed a strong start to the season, but the coaching staff is not shying away from criticism, even if it comes from the players.

Defensive coordinator Raheem Morris was made available to the media on Thursday, and he opened up about his reception of criticism from players. Some coaches might bristle at that thought, but not Morris. In fact, he embraces it.

"Really what I tell those guys is 'I want you guys to be critical of me,' and don't be bashful," Morris said. "I'm not sensitive, and so I like when we're critical of each other, and then maybe I give them the opportunity to give it back to us on paper and then to be able to go out there and really apply some of the answers that you want to do, if you want to be able to do it moving forward. That is awesome."

Criticism is not an easy thing to handle, especially among professional athletes, but it is oftentimes a necessary part of sports. With the Rams currently holding a 3-6 record, there can be plenty of criticism from fans and players alike, but sometimes that proves to be healthy for a locker room.

The Rams will look to right the ship this week as they face a team that they have already topped once this season in the Seattle Seahawks. Morris knows that this is a pivotal game if his team hopes to turn things around this season, but in reality, every week in the NFL is important.

Rams 'Feel Really Good' About Stafford Injury Return vs. Seahawks

“Aren’t they all?" Morris said. "I feel like you ask me this question at least once a year, right? But it's always those games, right? Really it is. They’re all so pivotal because this is the National Football League, right? It's the best professional sport and it truly is when it comes to every game meaning a lot. That’s the fun of what we do."

The Rams and Seahawks are scheduled to kick off at 1:25 p.m. PT on Sunday, and the game will be televised on CBS.
