Rams Restructure Joe Noteboom Contract, Save Big On Cap Space
Heading into the offseason, there was a myriad of questions surrounding the future of offensive tackle Joe Noteboom in Los Angeles.
Not only was Noteboom set to cost the Rams around $20 million in 2024, but the Rams also had to make multiple other moves along the offensive front in order to fix their pass protection issues.
In other words, Noteboom looked to be trending toward a cap casualty and on his way out of L.A.
Now, it appears that all has been resolved, with Noteboom restructuring his deal to remain with the Rams, and saving the team $8.4 million in the process, according to reports.
The full deal will earn Noteboom up to $14 million annually as well as $7 million guaranteed and will reduce his cap hit down to $11.6 million.
Noteboom had recently signed a three-year, $40 million deal to stay with the team, but has been inconsistent since, mostly serving as a reserve player for the Rams throughout his career, making a few starts in place of injured starters across the offensive line, but mostly at tackle.

As it stands now, that is likely to still be the future for Noteboom, with the Rams bringing in Lions guard Jonah Jackson on a massive deal, bringing back Alaric Jackson and likely moving Steve Avila to center.
Either way, the Rams wanted to retain notebook for his versatility, and ability to play multiple positions, and with this deal, that is exactly what they have done.
