Rams Star Puka Nacua Rises to Top 5 in ESPN Hypothetical Redraft
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua took the NFL by storm in his rookie season, and if there was a redraft of the 2023 NFL Draft, he most definitely would not have been available when the Rams pick rolled around.
In a recent article by ESPN, they redrafted this past year's draft with the knowledge of how picks would turn out. Nacua rose all the way from the 177th pick to the fourth pick, as he was one of the brightest rookie stars this season.
Nacua broke his fair share of records this season, including the rookie record for receptions and receiving yards in a season. And he did all of this after being picked with the very last pick of the fifth round.
The young star went from being a fringe starter at the beginning of the season to being one of the best skill position players in the entire NFL. Nacua finished fourth in the entire league in receiving yards, and he is only going to get better as he gains experience.
Rams Elite Receiving Corps Might Be Biggest Strength in 2024
He had one of the most eventful rookie seasons ever, as the Rams star also made the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro Second Team in his first year. Considering that Nacua is just getting started, the league should be on notice for what he could do in just a few short years.
Nacua is only 22 years old, and he is well on his way to being the future of the Rams receiving corps after Cooper Kupp retires. If there was a redraft, he would easily be one of the top picks, but instead, he fell all the way to the Rams, and they should be very grateful that he did.
