Rams CB Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson Makes Bold Prediction for Rookie Season

Los Angeles Rams rookie cornerback Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson wants to be one of the greatest draft picks the team ever had.

The Los Angeles Rams selected TCU cornerback Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson with the No.182 overall pick in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL draft

Hodges-Tomlinson slender 5-foot-8 and 178-pound frame, is likely why he lasted until the No.182 overall pick.

However, the Rams may have found a day-three gem as Hodges-Tomlinson hopes to become one of their best draft picks ever.

"I'm gonna make sure that this pick right here is gonna be one of the greatest picks they ever had," Robinson said. "I'm gonna continue to show others why they shouldn't have passed up on me."

Having had a decorated career at TCU, Hodges-Tomlinson enters the NFL with an impressive resume. His remarkable accomplishments include winning the coveted Jim Thorpe Award for being the top defensive back in the country last season. Hodges-Tomlinson also played a vital role in helping TCU reach the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship, where the team was embarrassed in a 65-7 loss to Georgia.

According to Pro Football Focus, in 2022, he led the nation with 21 forced incompletions and allowed a 42.5 passer rating on 547 coverage snaps. He was targeted 81 times and only allowed 28 catches for 365 yards and two touchdowns.

Despite the concerns about his size, Hodges-Tomlinson mostly had all of his coverage snaps on the outside during his college career, and he demonstrated his ability to cover larger receivers effectively.

If Hodges-Tomlinson can continue to excel against bigger, stronger, and faster receivers in the NFL, he has the potential to become a draft steal for the Rams.
