Rams Sign QB Dresser Winn, Make Two Other Roster Moves Ahead of Playoffs
The Los Angeles Rams locked up a playoff spot last week, following their win over the New York Giants on Sunday, in conjunction with a Seattle Seahawks loss.
And now, with their spot secured, the Rams are beginning to sure up their roster ahead of their final regular season tilt against the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara, making a trio of roster moves on Tuesday.
The list of changes from the Rams begins at quarterback, with L.A. signing Dresser Winn for his third stint with the team.
Winn first came to the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of UT-Martin, where he threw for 5,800 yards and 37 touchdowns in 32 games over six seasons.
The Rams then released Winn in August, before bringing him back for one week at the beginning of November. In between his first two stints with the team, Winn played for the Edmonton Elks of the Candian Football League.

The Rams also made a move on special teams, with the release of long snapper Alex Matheson. Matheson was brought on last week in the midst of special teams issues in the kicking game.
Finally, the Rams also placed defensive back Shaun Jolly, who played in four games with the team this season. Jolly will now miss the remainder of the season barring a Super Bowl run for Los Angeles.
