Should Rams Sign Former All-Pro Receiver Michael Thomas?
The Los Angeles Rams had one of the best passing attacks in the entire NFL last season, and it was due to their fantastic wide receiver duo of Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp.
Despite the team's passing game being dangerous enough as is, it's hard to not think about what it could be with another solid receiver. There are still a few guys that have not been signed, and one of the more intriguing players is former New Orleans Saints Pro-Bowl wide out Michael Thomas.
The 31-year-old receiver was recently dropped by the team that drafted him back in 2016. After a scorching start to his career, he has had a disappointing couple of seasons, and a new team could be exactly what he needs to get it going again.
Thomas is a three-time Pro Bowler and has made First-Team All-Pro twice, so other teams know exactly what he is capable of. And in 2019, he finished with over 1700 yards and nine touchdowns and won NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
If the Rams were to sign Thomas, he would give the team another veteran presence on the offensive side of the ball. And given how much of a threat he can be, he could open up the field for the rest of the Rams' receivers to make a big play.
The Rams could not make a move for another receiver and would be able to make do, because we have seen what this offense can do with its new weapons. But if the team were to pick up another offensive guy like Thomas in free agency, it could very well push them over the edge.
