Puka Nacua Reveals How Cowboys Star DeMarcus Lawrence 'Tossed Him Like A Rag Doll'

Puka Nacua jokingly shares his Week 8 moment against the Cowboys attempting to block Demarcus Lawrence but getting tossed like a ragdoll instead.

This week at the Super Bowl, Puka Nacua chats it up with Chris Simms on his rookie season in the NFL.

When asked about his biggest surprise this season, Nacua detailed his first "welcome to the NFL" moment during the Rams' Week 8 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys/

Nacua found himself lined up against Demarcus Lawrence, with the task of blocking the Cowboys star.

Initially, Nacua felt confident. However, as he approached Lawrence, he couldn't help but notice Lawrence's imposing stature.

"Why did he grow seven more inches? What the heck?!" Nacua joked.

Lawrence effortlessly grabbed both of Nacua's wrists and according to Nacua, 'tossed him like a ragdoll', resulting in a six-yard loss for the Rams.

Nacua vividly remembers the moment, thinking, "Coach is going to kill me. So that was not how that play was supposed to get drawn up."

Both Nacua and Lawrence were at the Pro Bowl and Nacua couldn't resist bringing up the unforgettable encounter with the Cowboys star from their Week 8 clash.

With a chuckle, Nacua recounted the moment to Lawrence, admitting, "I don’t know if you remember – that’s probably an everyday play for you – but I was like, I pride myself in blocking and you threw me like I was a little kid."

Lawrence, in typical fashion, shrugged it off, replying, "I don’t really remember it." Nacua couldn't help but jest, "Oh man, that makes me feel even worse."

Nacua's future is gleaming like a freshly polished trophy after his breakout season with the Rams. In 2023 he made a habit of snatching catches and blocking.

Then there's Lawrence, strolling into the Pro Bowl like a one-man defensive line, reminding everyone that NFL defenders are built like tanks with a side of intimidation.
