Former Rams DL Michael Brockers Works Out With Titans

Former Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Michael Brockers reportedly worked out with the Tennessee Titans recently

Many former Los Angeles Rams players have recently found new homes elsewhere, and another could soon follow suit.

According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, former Rams defensive tackle Michael Brockers recently worked out for the Tennessee Titans. Brockers spent the first nine years of his career with the Rams before spending the last two with the Detroit Lions

The No. 14 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the then-St. Louis Rams, Brockers became an important part of the defensive front. In nine seasons with the Rams, he accounted for 395 tackles, 48 tackles for loss, and 28 sacks. He was a solid contributor in the pass-rush, but particularly effective in stopping the run.

In March of 2021, the Rams traded Brockers to the Lions for just a 2023 seventh-round pick. He had a decent first season in Detroit with 52 tackles, four tackles for loss, and a sack. The 2022 season was his worst as a pro though, as he only played sparingly in six games, recording just four tackles with no TFLs or QB hits. After the disappointing year, the Lions released Brockers in February.

While Brockers may be on the back end of his career, he should still be a serviceable rotational lineman for a team. His workout with the Titans is proof that there is still at least a bit of interest in him around the league.

Regardless of what happens, the Rams were fortunate to have Brockers for the best years of his career.
