LOOK: Rams Reveal Week 4 Uniforms vs. Colts
For the first time in 2023, the Los Angeles Rams plan to wear their "bone" alternate uniform tops in Week 4, as they hit the road to face off with the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium.
This is one of two times this season that the Rams will don the often-maligned "bone" uniforms, with the other coming in Week 12 against the Arizona Cardinals.
The "bone" jerseys were initially a primary uniform when Los Angeles introduced their current set of threads prior to the 2020 season. However, the off-white "bone" uniforms are seemingly being phased out, as they were made an alternate in 2022, with a more traditional shade of white replacing it as a primary look.
A week ago, the Rams donned their royal blue tops with matching royal blue pants. After a brief reprieve this week against the Colts, the Rams plan to wear the royal blue tops for matchups against the Philadelphia Eagles, Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers in each of the next three weeks.
The 2-1 Colts will counter with their iconic blue tops, white pants and white horseshoe helmets against the Rams.
Indianapolis did introduce a new alternate uniform this offseason, receiving a large amount of pushback given that their look has rarely changed during the franchise's history dating back to Baltimore. But what they are calling their "Indiana Nights" uniforms -- a blue-on-blue uniform with black horseshoe helmets -- will make their on-field debut in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns.
The Colts are currently one-point home favorites over the Rams, though it's possible their projected edge will increase if rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson is able to clear concussion protocol and return after missing the team's Week 3 win over the Ravens.
