NFL Draft BREAKING: Rams Trade Up with Bills, Take Ole Miss RB Zach Evans
The Los Angeles Rams are adding some speed in the backfield at the end of the sixth round of the draft.
The Rams traded up 37 spots and sent a 2024 sixth-round pick to the Buffalo Bills to select Ole Miss running back Zach Evans.
Last season with the Rebels, Evans ran for 936 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on 144 touches, averaging 6.5 yards per carry. The Houston, Tex., native also proved to have steady hands, hauling in 12 receptions for 119 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Evans is expected to compete alongside Cam Akers, Ronnie Rivers and Kyren Williams for carries in Los Angeles' backfield.
With the addition of Evans, he joins TCU offensive lineman Steve Avila, Tennessee defensive end Byron Young, Wake Forest pass rusher Kobie Turner, two-time National Champion quarterback Stetson Bennett IV, Appalachian State linebacker Nick Hampton, Georgia offensive tackle Warren McClendon, Clemson tight end Davis Allen, BYU wide receiver Puka Nacua, TCU defensive back Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson and Nebraska EDGE rusher Ochaun Mathis as part of the Rams' newest draft class.
The Rams aren't done and will pick at No. 189, seven spots from this pick, in the sixth round.
