NFL Power Rankings: Where Do Los Angeles Rams Land After Week 12?
The Los Angeles Rams have some newfound momentum after picking up back-to-back wins, the latest of which came on Sunday over the Arizona Cardinals.
How does the Rams' blowout win affect their standing in the league's pecking order? Sports Illustrated released its updated NFL power rankings on Tuesday, and Los Angeles finds itself holding the No. 18 spot on the list.
While that is still in the bottom half of the league, it is a noted improvement from the last couple of weeks.
"Now winners of two straight, check out the Rams’ next few games: Cleveland sans quarterback, at Baltimore, Commanders, Saints, at Giants. You mean to tell me this team can’t reasonably reach nine wins heading into a season finale against a 49ers team that could possibly be resting starters with the No. 1 seed? Not so far-fetched a scenario."
Los Angeles, now 5-6 on the year, is in a much better standing in regards to a potential postseason berth than they were two weeks ago. A large credit for this turnaround belongs to the Rams finally beginning to get healthy, especially on offense where they have seen the return of quarterback Matthew Stafford and running back Kyren Williams from injury.
Williams was the team's MVP in Sunday's 37-14 win over Arizona, rushing for 143 yards on 16 carries, and head coach Sean McVay awarded him the game ball in his first game back from an injury sustained in the sixth game of the season.

In short, a No. 18 ranking isn't great, but it shows just how highly the Rams have climbed since sitting with a record of 3-6. The playoff hopes are still alive, if they can keep this momentum going.
As mentioned above, L.A. will play host to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, and kickoff is scheduled for 1:25 p.m. PT on FOX.
