Rams Hold Strong Playoff Odds Entering Final Stretch of Regular Season
The Los Angeles Rams were able to rest on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day after picking up a 30-22 win over the New Orleans Saints on "Thursday Night Football," but their playoff odds have entered positive territory.
Entering Christmas Day, the Rams now hold a 65 percent chance to reach the postseason, according to NFL.com, and they currently occupy the No. 6 seed in the NFC, one spot ahead of the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. Ironically, however, that is actually the worst odds among the top seven seeds of the conference.
At No. 7, Seattle holds a 69 percent chance to reach the playoffs, and three teams in the NFC have already clinched postseason berths (49ers, Eagles, Cowboys).
As winners of back-to-back games and five of the last six, Los Angeles is carrying positive momentum into the final two weeks of the regular season. They will travel for those two games, however, beginning with a road trip against the New York Giants and concluding against the San Francisco 49ers.
