WATCH: Matthew Stafford Extends Rams Lead With TD To DeMarcus Robinson

The Los Angeles Rams pulled ahead late in the first half vs. the New Orleans Saints with a Matthew Stafford touchdown pass

The Los Angeles Rams offense is rolling on Thursday Night Football vs. the New Orleans Saints at SoFi Stadium.

With just a minute remaining in the second quarter and all three timeouts remaining, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford had a textbook drive to end the half, marching his team 58 yards in five plays, and taking just 35 seconds off of the clock for a four-yard score.

The touchdown, which was Stafford's second of the game, put the Rams up 17-7 heading into the locker room at halftime.

The touchdown throw also continued Stafford's hot streak, giving 199 yards and two scores on 16 of 22 completions in just the first half.

That added to Stafford's electric stats over the past five games, with the veteran QB now throwing for 1,259 yards and 14 touchdowns with just one interception over that stretch.

It might be hard to imagine, but it is arguably the best stretch of football that Stafford has played in his tenure in Los Angeles.

It was also the fourth touchdown catch in the last seven games for Robinson, who now has a team-high six catches for 82 yards in the game.

The Rams will start the second half with the football after winning the coin toss and deferring to the second half.
