Ravens Renovations: M&T Bank Stadium Undergoing Upgrades
After signing running back Derrick Henry in the offseason, the Baltimore Ravens are expected to field a new-look offense, but that’s not the only thing that could look new.
M&T Bank Stadium has been undergoing renovations, and Baltimore’s team president, Sashi Brown, has provided an update on the team’s home field.
“We’re about a third of the way through our build,” Brown said. “Highlights this year will be the Miller Lite Gatehouse which is on the east side facing the railroad tracks, Fed Hill. We’ll have a roof deck on that where you can see almost over to the Inner Harbor. We’re excited about that. That’s an opportunity for every fan to come and experience that.
“Secondarily, we’ll have the Blackwing suites, which are two of the premium products that we’ll enhance into this opportunity. We’re excited about both of those coming online. And then we’re hard at work continuing to try to finish up designs on the ’25 and ’26 projects, which will bring the plaza online, the retail store. So we’ve got a lot of movement, all really beneficial to driving more value to the game day experience and the fan experience, but also to the season ticket holders who buy and support us every week and who come down to the Bank to see us win games.”
Two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson has made the Ravens must-see television ever since he first suited up in purple, but now it sounds like the stadium will be an attraction in itself, one that could make even someone who isn't yet a part of the flock enjoy a Sunday afternoon there.
Along with the stadium renovations this season, ticket prices have increased, but if the product on the field in Baltimore continues to improve as much as the venue itself, then fans will likely tolerate the upcharge with fewer complaints than if they were paying more to see a losing team.
Now, the Ravens team must do its part to improve its finish from a season ago when, despite being the best regular season team, Baltimore failed to reach the Super Bowl.
