Ravens Free Agent Rumors: Former Pro Bowl Offensive Lineman Being Pursued by Baltimore?
The 2024 NFL Draft is almost upon us, but as teams turn their attention to college players, there are still plenty of free agents who could help rosters.
The Baltimore Ravens require offensive line help after Kevin Zeitler and John Simpton left in free agency and Morgan Moses was traded away. And there is a player out there who could help add depth and talent to help protect quarterback Lamar Jackson.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler postulates that former Lions, Jets and 49ers OL Laken Tomlinson could contribute in 2024.
"The Baltimore Ravens lost Kevin Zeitler and John Simpson in free agency, meaning they don’t have much of an answer at either guard position. Laken Tomlinson isn’t the gold standard of guard play, but he should be able to provide a baseline level of protection for Lamar Jackson. The two-time NFL MVP is one of the most elusive playmakers in the game, so he should be able to succeed as long as he has somewhat decent protection in front of him."
Tomlinson has slowed down a bit since his prime as the 32-year-old enters his 10th season in the league.
The ex-Duke Blue Devil might not be the perfect specimen of a starter anymore, but he is one of the best options still left on the open market. While this is one of the deepest drafts in recent memory with regard to offensive linemen, any player drafted will lack experience.
And that's something Tomlinson can definitely contribute.
