Baltimore Ravens cornerback Brandon Stephens is in line to have a very important role against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football

Star cornerback Marlon Humphrey is doubtful for the game after suffering a non-contact ankle injury in a Week 10 loss to the Cleveland Browns. If Humphrey isn't able to suit up against the Bengals, it is Stephens who will likely take the responsibility of CB1.

That will mean matching up against Cincinnati wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase often. In Week 2 when the two teams faced off, Stephens helped limit Chase to just five receptions for 31 yards in a 27-24 win for Baltimore.

This season, Stephens has been phenomenal in coverage for the Ravens. He has taken 427 coverage snaps this year without allowing a single touchdown, by far the most in the NFL among cornerbacks. In second place is Indianapolis Colts cornerback Kenny Moore II with 377 snaps without a touchdown.

Brandon Stephens collected the first and second interceptions of his NFL career this season.

Not only has Stephens not allowed a touchdown through 10 games, he has also tallied 48 tackles, eight passes defended and two interceptions.

At 25 years old, Stephens is having a breakout year for Baltimore in his third NFL season. He has started every game and has been crucial in providing solid play while the team has dealt with injury troubles.

The Bengals at 5-4 could keep their division title hopes alive with a win, as they currently sit in fourth place in the AFC North. The game will be played at M&T Bank Stadium and will kick off at 8:15 p.m.
