Former Ravens Executive Chad Alexander Lands Chargers Assistant GM Job
Former long-time Ravens executive Chad Alexander is leaving the Jets organization to join Jim Harbaugh in Los Angeles with the Chargers.
SNY Sports reported that after five seasons of working with general manager Joe Douglas and assistant general manager Rex Hogan, Alexander is parting ways with the Jets for a promotion in Los Angeles.
The Jets recently fired Hogan, and Alexander reportedly saw greener pastures on the other coast. Before joining the Jets organization, Alexander worked with the Ravens for 20 seasons, eventually rising to the title of assistant director of pro personnel, a job he held for nine years. He also worked as a scout and personnel assistant after joining the club in 1999.
Alexander will be joining Joe Hortitz, whom Alexander worked with before Hortitz left Baltimore to become the Chargers' general manager. Hortitz worked in Baltimore from 1998 through 2023.
