Baltimore Ravens Coach Harbaugh Addresses Marcus Williams' Return
Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh gave an update on safety Marcus Williams' return from injury.
"It's great to have him back out there," Harbaugh said. "Obviously he's been working hard and that's a big, big plus for us."
When asked if he thought Williams could possibly play this week, he gave an optimistic answer.
"I think we'll see on Sunday," Harbaugh said. "You don't know until you get there and you practice and we'll see what happens. See if he can do it."
Williams is listed as questionable ahead of Baltimore's Week 4 matchup with the Cleveland Browns. The ailment in question is a pectoral injury that he suffered in a Week 1 victory over the Houston Texans.
The injury could have ended Williams' season had he elected to undergo surgery to repair it. Ultimately, the decision was the safety's to make on whether or not he wanted to play through it or get the surgery.
The 27-year-old safety decided against getting the surgery so that he could return to the field this season. The Ravens could use Williams' help with the amount of players that are currently injured on their roster.
Last season, he tied his career-high in interceptions with four in just 10 games. His year was shortened due to a broken wrist that he suffered during the season.
Baltimore will hope to have Williams available when they head on the road to take on Cleveland on Oct. 1 at 1 p.m. The winner of the game will either be tied for, or hold sole possession of the top spot in the AFC North.
