Ravens Combine Notes: Formal Meeting Scheduled With Houston T Patrick Paul

The Baltimore Ravens may have a late first-round pick, but that won't stop them from meeting with one of the better tackle prospects of the 2024 class.
In this story:

He may not be the same kind of prospect as the top performers in his class, but Houston's Patrick Paul has been one of the more consistent players at tackle in college.

So much so that the Baltimore Ravens have already scheduled a meeting with him at the 2024 Scouting Combine.

Paul, 23, is an athletic freak that should test out well at the Scouting Combine but can be seen as a kind of project at the position of either right or left tackle in 2024. Luckily for the Ravens, having a project at the position isn't the word thing in the world.

Left tackle Ronnie Stanley has struggled with injuries over the years, while Morgan Moses and swing-tackle Patrick Mekari also dealt with injuries in 2023. Add in the pending free agency of guards like Kevin Zeitler and John Simpson, and the Ravens would be wise to address the offensive line during the 2024 Draft.

Paul's a player that fits Baltimore's plans as well. He's among the biggest tackles of the class at 6-7 and has the athleticism needed to be able to grow into a solid starting player at the position.

Ravens Trade Rumor: Former First-Round WR to Baltimore?

Baltimore owns the 30th overall pick in the first round of April's Draft and will certainly be looking at other tackles outside of just Paul. Other players like offensive lineman Graham Barton and even some edge rushers could well be the pick for the Ravens.

We've got a long way to go before the Chicago Bears are on the clock to kick off Day 1 of the Draft, but the visits already being made are good indicators of what a team like the Ravens could be looking for in their roster.
