NFL Draft Target: Cooper Beebe A 'Best Fit' For Baltimore Ravens
It's all but a given that the Baltimore Ravens are going to address their needs on the offensive line through the NFL Draft after losing three starters earlier this offseason.
Baltimore lost starting guards Kevin Zeitler to the Detroit Lions and John Simpson to the New York Jets. Former starting right tackle Morgan Moses will also suit up for the Jets after they acquired him via trade.
While Baltimore has options in-house, it would be remiss not to add an offensive lineman early, and among the players who can fill the void is Kansas State offensive lineman Cooper Beebe. Bleacher Report broke down the top offensive lineman in the 2024 NFL Draft and touted Beebe as the "best gap blocker," and had Baltimore as one of the three teams that are the best fit for him.
"This approach fits perfectly into the sawed-off, 320-plus-pound consensus All-American's playing style, via which he excelled as a battering ram with enough movement skills to line up and delete targets as a puller," Bleacher Report writes. "Add in Beebe's positional versatility with seven or more starts at three different positions, and it becomes easier to project his ability to convert what he put on film in college to the pro game, whether that's at guard or center."
The Ravens were also listed as a best fit for UCONN offensive lineman Christian Hayes and Boston College's Christian Mahogany.
Beebe has started multiple games at left tackle, right guard and left guard, where he spent much of his collegiate career. The 6-foot-3, 322-pound offensive lineman's play at left guard led to him being named a first-team All-American, first-team Big 12 and the conference's Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2023.
Beebe's versatility should make him an appealing option for the Ravens early in the draft. Given the uncertainty surrounding their offensive line, his ability to play three different positions can help give Baltimore options when putting the best five linemen in front of Lamar Jackson next season, which is imperative with his injury history.
