The Ravens enjoyed quite a season in 2023, and they're hoping to continue it through the playoffs. Finishing the year 13-4 and as the No. 1 seed in the AFC, Baltimore is enjoying a bye week during Super Wild Card Weekend as it anticipates its second-round opponent.

Defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald is in his second season with the Ravens and has guided his unit to the No. 6 overall defense in the league in 2023, and that has drawn attention to him as a potential head coach.

There are several teams interested in speaking to Macdonald, and on Friday, the Falcons completed a virtual interview with Macdonald.

It was Atlanta's first interview in its effort to replace Arthur Smith, who was fired on Jan. 8. The Titans, Commanders, Panthers and Chargers have all requested permission to interview Macdonald for their head coaching vacancies.

On the offensive side of the ball, Todd Monken was brought in this season to re-tool the offense for newly-signed quarterback Lamar Jackson. Monken had spent the last two seasons at Georgia, helping the Bulldogs win back-to-back national championships.

On Friday, the Chargers interviewed Monken to replace the dismissed Brandon Staley. Monken led the Ravens offense No. 6 in the league in yards per game with 370.4. His quarterback, Jackson, made first-team All-Pro and is the favorite to win the league's MVP for the second time in his career.

Monken also interviewed with the Panthers on Thursday.
