Ravens Sign DeAndre Hopkins Now That Cardinals Cut Pro Bowl WR?

The Arizona Cardinals may outright cut Hopkins, partly because of a lack of interest from other teams for a trade.
In this story:

The Baltimore Ravens were never seriously mentioned in the same breath with regard to a trade with the Arizona Cardinals for wideout DeAndre Hopkins.

The price was considerable. But the price just changed.

Aside from the $17.2 million APY cap hit, a trade maybe would've demanded at the very least a second-round pick, and then some. And it's hard to imagine the Ravens affording the extra draft capital it would take to land Hopkins via trade.

But now, news surfaces that the Cardinals have cut the wideout, partly because of a lack of interest from other teams for a trade.

If he goes to the highest bidder? Why can’t the Ravens be the highest-bidding contender? Lamar Jackson is a Hopkins fave. “Nuk” and Odell Beckham Jr. could be the best wideout duo in the NFL.

A new path to talent is now open - and it’s one the Ravens must consider traveling.
