'Makes Sense' For Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson Return vs. Baltimore Ravens
As the Baltimore Ravens begin preparations for Sunday's game versus the Seattle Seahawks, they sit atop the AFC North at 6-2 on the season.
However, that could quickly change with Sunday marking the start of a tough three-game stretch, which will see the Ravens also host the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals in the two weeks following the game versus Seattle.
The Week 10 matchup with the Browns could even get a little bit tougher for the Ravens as a recent report from Cleveland.com suggests that starting quarterback Deshaun Watson could make his return next week against Baltimore.
"Sunday will mark six weeks since Watson first suffered the injury against the Titans, and he was originally told it was a four- to six-week injury, so resting again would seem to make sense," Cleveland.com writes.
Watson has missed the last two games with the reaggravated shoulder injury that saw him play just four drives in their Week 6 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Watson's injured shoulder is the same one that saw him miss the Browns Week 4 matchup with the Ravens.
However, even with Watson on the sideline, the Browns have stayed afloat with P.J. Walker playing in his place. Walker, the sixth-year backup quarterback, has started in three games for the Browns this season and has them at 2-1, with the only loss coming on Sunday to the Ravens' opponent on Sunday, the Seahawks.
Yet, the AFC North matchup isn't until next week, as the Ravens host the 5-2 Seahawks in a 1 p.m. ET kickoff at the same time the Browns will play the 1-7 Arizona Cardinals.
