Ravens Trade for 'Dream' Receiver Raiders' Renfrow

The Baltimore Ravens need help at wide receiver and a recent article has suggested Hunter Renfrow as potential trade target.

The Baltimore Ravens need to find more playmakers they can add to their offense, especially at wide receiver. While the contract negotiations with Lamar Jackson drag on, it is important to focus on building a roster around Jackson or any quarterback who may take the snaps under center in 2023.

A recent Bleacher Report article detailed the "dream trade scenario" for all 32 NFL teams. As one could expect, the Ravens' "dream" scenario was trading for a wide receiver, specifically Hunter Renfrow.

Bleacher Report cites a report from ESPN back in January that stated the Raiders are potentially open to "tweaking" their roster, adding that teams around the league will have an eye on Renfrow and tight end Darren Waller.

Baltimore ranked 28th in passing yards this past season, and tight end Mark Andrews was the only player to top 500 receiving yards," Bleacher Report said. "Adding a reliable receiver like Hunter Renfrow of the Las Vegas Raiders could help Jackson and new offensive coordinator Todd Monken."

As the former Clemson product has proved in Las Vegas, he is a natural security blanket for any quarterback, primarily operating out of the slot.

Despite his 2022 numbers dropping to a career-low after playing in just 10 games due to injuries, Renfrow's prior production shows he can be a 1,000-yard receiver, something the Ravens could desperately use.

As for what it would take to get Renfrow, the article suggests that the Raiders could be happy to part with the slot receiver in exchange for a "middle-round pick," potentially making it a bargain for a receiver-needy Ravens.
