Ravens Rumor: A.J. Dillon to Baltimore in Free Agency?

According to one media outlet, the Ravens could be due for a huge upgrade in the running game in free agency.
In this story:

After leading the league in rushing in 2023, the Ravens seemed to shift focus in the AFC Championship game against the Chiefs, and it didn't work out so well.

Running backs Gus Edwards and Justice Hill combined for just six carries and 23 yards total in the 17-10 loss to Kansas City, seemingly abandoning the very thing that got them there.

With pending free agents in the running back room, the position could be a focus of the Ravens in the offseason. Edwards and oft-injured J.K. Dobbins are set to be free agents next month, and if the team decides to move away from them, CBS Sports thinks there's a better option than both.

Could the Packers' A.J. Dillon be heading to Baltimore? CBS Sports projects yes, saying, "The supersized vet could have an increased role in Green Bay depending on Aaron Jones' future, but the latter has proven much more valuable. How about a return to his hometown Baltimore as a short-yardage option?"

Jones has proven to the Packers that he's their No. 1 option at the position. That could leave Dillon the odd man out in free agency.

Chiefs Called Eric Bieniemy to Assist in AFC Title Game vs. Ravens?

Dillon is still young without a lot of NFL mileage on his body. Last season, the Boston College product ran just 178 times for 613 yards and tow touchdowns. For his career, he's carried the ball 597 times for 2.428 yards and 16 touchdowns over 60 games since being drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

If the Ravens decide to move on from Edwards and Dobbins, Dillon could be a great addition to an already stout rushing attack by offensive coordinator Todd Monken heading into 2024.
