Ravens Host Free Agent WR Nelson Agholor; Lamar Jackson Offensive Help?

The Ravens have hosted free agent wide receiver Nelson Agholor in a bid to shore up the offensive firepower ahead of next season.
In this story:

The Baltimore Ravens are in need of offensive help for tight end Mark Andrews, and the organization is looking at bringing a receiver in.

Per ESPN, the Ravens hosted free agent receiver Nelson Agholor in a week-starting visit.

With the Ravens desperate to add to their receiving room, Agholor could be the next piece of the puzzle. While it is not the big free agent splash that perhaps Baltimore fans want, it still could be a nice piece of business.

The situation with Lamar Jackson and his contract looms large. But eventually? Jackson figures to be here and figures to need help.

Agholor, the former Philadelphia Eagles, Las Vegas Raiders and New England Patriots wideout, would be a part of a receiving room (if signed) that needs a serious upgrade in production.

Aside from Andrews (847 yards), the next best pass-catcher for the Ravens was Demarcus Robinson with 458 yards. That needs to change.

While Agholor - a former first-round pick - hasn't surpassed 500 receiving yards in his last two NFL seasons, he is a savvy veteran who could prove useful to new offensive coordinator Todd Monken.

It is just a visit at this stage, but there does seem to be a willingness to address the receiver position from the Ravens.

Jackson's future with the franchise is uncertain and maybe that money issue stops Baltimore from going after top-tier free agents, but in Agholor, they could get a veteran on the cheap and one who likely still has something to prove.
