Ravens Reportedly Will Host Longhorns WR Xavier Worthy
The NFL Scouting Combine is in the rearview mirror and Baltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta and head coach John Harbaugh identified some top talent to help them improve their team in 2024.
One of the biggest storylines of the Combine came from Texas Longhorns wideout Xavier Worthy, who set a record time in the 40-yard dash. Worthy ran it in 4.21 seconds, beating the previous record of 4.22 by John Ross in 2017.
That put Worthy at the top of a lot of team's lists, including the Ravens.
Bleacher Report's Ryan Fowler reported that Baltimore is expected to host Worthy on a top 30 visit soon.
Worthy played three seasons in Austin and registered career-highs in catches with 75 and receiving yards with 1,014 last season. He tallied 60-plus catches in all three years and scored 26 total touchdowns.
Ravens Select Standout LSU Receiver in New Mock Draft
Baltimore is expected to be in the market for a wideout, and DeCosta likes to utilize the draft for such purposes. Since he was hired by the Ravens, DeCosta has drafted a wide receiver in the first round in three of five drafts.
DeCosta previously selected a Longhorns wideout in 2020, by taking Devin Duvernay in the third round.
