The offseason so far for the Baltimore Ravens hasn't been smooth sailing. With multiple starters leaving in free agency along with several key personnel, highlighted by defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald, change is afoot for the AFC North champs.

But change doesn't always mean bad; it just means things will be different. For the Ravens, while yes, key players were lost, there were some key additions. Derrick Henry looms as the biggest "in" for the Ravens, and while Justin Madubuike and Kyle Van Noy's re-signings aren't "additions" as such, having the duo return is a big help to the defense.

Despite all the change that has occurred over the last month or so, the Ravens still have the talent on both sides of the ball to be a Super Bowl contender in 2024 - and for those doubting Baltimore, head coach John Harbaugh has a message for you.

"We're going to have a heck of a team next year, you wait, you watch,” Harbaugh said.

Due to the losses in free agency that saw Patrick Queen, John Simpson, Kevin Zeitler, Jadeveon Clowney, Geno Stone, Gus Edwards and Ronald Darby all move on, the Ravens still have the weaponry to do damage in 2024.

With the Kansas City Chiefs sitting atop fo their illustrious perch after back-to-back Super Bowl wins, the Ravens are indeed playing catchup.

While the loss of key personnel clearly dents their Super Bowl ambitions, there is still the draft to come along with Baltimore potentially poaching some cost-effective free agents.

So, all is not lost for the Ravens and with Lamar Jackson leading the franchise coming off his second MVP award, along with having the key defensive pieces in Kyle Hamilton, Van Noy and Madubuike, Baltimore could indeed still have one "heck" of a team in 2024.
