Baltimore Ravens Keaton Mitchell Takes To Instagram After Successful Surgery
Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell had successful surgery to repair a torn ACL, and afterward, he went on Instagram to post an update and a message to his fans.
"Surgery ✅ now let's get it!" Mitchell posted on his Instagram story.
Mitchell suffered the injury in a Week 15 game on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He finished the game with nine carries for 73 yards and two receptions for 15 yards. The Ravens left Florida with a 23-7 win, but Mitchell would be out for the season due to his ACL injury.
The rookie running back only played in eight games this season, missing the first five games of the schedule due to a shoulder injury that he suffered in the preseason.
Still, in just eight games of play, Mitchell made an impact on the field and showed flashes of how talented he could be. He rushed for 396 yards and two touchdowns on just 47 carries for an average of 8.4 yards per attempt. For context, the NFL leader in rushing yards per attempt is Jahmyr Gibbs of the Detroit Lions at 5.7.
The 21-year-old running back also flashed as a receiver out of the backfield, catching nine passes on 11 targets for 93 yards.
