Kevin Zeitler's Free Agent Departure Leaves Obvious Solution For Ravens

Losing two interior offensive linemen isn't something many teams want to go through, but the Baltimore Ravens have an easy solution to both holes on the roster.

Few teams are in a better position to replace some of their top talent than the Baltimore Ravens over the next month.

Now that John Simpson and Kevin Zeitler have gone to other organizations, the Ravens have needs at both starting guard positions. Despite a shrinking starting market in free agency, the organization should not get discouraged in the slightest.

That's because the top position group coming up through the 2024 NFL Draft is the offensive line - particularly the tackle and guard class. Strong players like Troy Fautanu, Cooper Beebe, Christian Haynes, and Christian Mahogany are all starting caliber players who could each be selected in the first three rounds.

With two selections in the top 64 overall picks, the Ravens could find a quality starter at the position without having to overpay on the open market. Any of those four potential names would be immediate "plug-and-play" offensive linemen the team can trust to kick off the 2024 season with.

It's not just the Draft that the Ravens could find top talent. Veterans like Laken Tomlinson, Andrus Peat, and Cody Whitehair may be coming off poor seasons, but with the Ravens' ability to coach up talent, could be excellent value at each position.

A free agent addition like Tomlinson and a draft pick like Fautanu could transform the Ravens offensive line from a group with needs to one of the more talented ones in the NFL in just over a month.

The losses of Zeitler and Simpson may be felt hard now, but the Ravens have all the tools to alter that in the coming weeks.
