Baltimore Ravens' Lamar Jackson Is His Own Biggest Critic
Despite being one of the top quarterbacks in football, Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson never stops trying to improve his game and get better.
"I critique myself more than anybody else in the world," Jackson said. "I pretty much go back and watch old games, games we lost, not the games we won and see mistakes I might have had, things I may not have seen during the game, and pretty much just get a feel for the game when I'm in it now. That's just how I go about things."
Jackson is currently the MVP favorite according to FanDuel Sportsbook, leading the pack at -200. This season, he has completed a career-high 66.3 percent of his passes through 15 games for 3,357 passing yards, another career-high, and 19 touchdowns.
As per usual, Jackson's ability to use his legs has been a game-changer as well. Not only has he picked up 786 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground this year, but he has also been incredible at moving within the pocket and extending plays.
If Jackson were to win the MVP this season, it would be his second time winning the award at just 27 years old. He won his first MVP in unanimous fashion, taking the league over in 2019 while going 13-2 as a starter.
Ravens Ready For Raheem Mostert, Dolphins Run Game
Baltimore is 12-3 with Jackson as the starter this season, and when he starts at home against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at 1 p.m., it will mark a career-high for starts in a season for the decorated quarterback.
