Ravens Watch: Lamar Jackson Picks Up Ice Cream Tab For Hot Kids In Florida

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is back in the news and for all the right reasons. Now that he's got some extra cash on hand, the former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL MVP treated some local Florida kids to ice cream.

Lamar Jackson has seemingly kept his name out of the news since striking it rich on April 27 with a five-year, $260 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens. That was just ahead of the NFL Draft that saw the Ravens draft wideout Zay Flowers, adding to a new list of weapons that includes Odell Beckham Jr., Mark Andrews, and Nelson Agholor.

Jackson is back in the news and for all the right reasons. Now that he's got some extra cash on hand, the former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL MVP treated some local Florida kids to ice cream.

In the video, posted by Twitter user @forever8dream1, Jackson can be heard saying to the ice cream truck driver, "Come back tomorrow and I'll have another hundred," presumably indicating he would buy ice cream for more kids the next day.

Jackson was with the Ravens for offseason workouts last month, developing chemistry with new widout acquisitions Agholor, Flowers, and Beckham Jr.

Returning for the Ravens offense are also, running back J.K. Dobbins and receiver Rashod Bateman, along with tight end Andrews.

Jackson and his teammates are preparing for the start of training camp on July 26 in Owings Mills, Maryland. This season will offer 18 free and open practices to the public, with the ability to host up to 1,000 fans per day. Training camp will also include two joint practices with the Washington Commanders on Aug. 15-16.
