If there was any question of whether or not, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson would be ready for the moment, he answered them with his performance in a 34-10 win over the Houston Texans.

Jackson completed 16 of his 22 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns while also running 11 times for 100 yards and two rushing touchdowns. It was the second postseason win of Jackson’s career as he’s now 2-3 in the playoffs all-time.

The stellar performance continues what was an MVP season for the 27-year-old. In 16 games, he completed 67.2 percent of his passes for 3,678 yards and 24 touchdowns, while rushing for 821 yards and five touchdowns. He also led the Ravens to a 13-3 season and the best record in football.

He finished the season as the MVP favorite by an overwhelming margin according to FanDuel Sportsbook. If he ends up winning the award, it will be the second of his career after he won a unanimous MVP in 2019.

The win over the Texans helps to extinguish the demons of how that 2019 season ended, as that Baltimore team also earned a first-round bye but was eliminated in its first game, losing 28-12 at home to the Tennessee Titans. Jackson’s other playoff win also came against the Titans when he led his team to a 20-13 win in the 2020 season’s Wild Card game. The Ravens will be moving on to the AFC championship where they will play the winner of the Chiefs-Bills game on Sunday.
