Lamar Jackson New Move: Trade from Ravens with Non-Guaranteed Contract? - PFT Report

If new intel is to be believed, the Lamar Jackson saga has taken its most impactful turn yet ... one that could end his tenure with the Baltimore Ravens.

Is Lamar Jackson, offered a non-exclusive franchise tag, ready to leave the Baltimore Ravens' flock ... with a new cohort?

That's what new intel from Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk appears to imply: Florio says that "a representative" for the Baltimore Ravens quarterback, who has notably worked through his ongoing free agency saga without an agent, is telling teams that he's "ready to move on from" the team that has hosted his NFL endeavors since his professional entry in 2018.

The representative is said not to be certified by the NFL Players Association, which has been discouraged by the league. Elsewhere in the report, Jackson is said to, contrary to popular belief, not be seeking a fully guaranteed contract but rather stocked up on the back end.

While Jackson has undoubtedly been the catalyst behind the Ravens' offensive success over the past five seasons, Baltimore and its 31 NFL compatriots have apparently been reluctant to bestow big money with his medical history, which has cost him 11 games over the past two years, including January's postseason cameo against Cincinnati. While some suitors have started to emerge for Jackson's services, others believe that a reunion with the Ravens remains the best play for both sides.

If anything, Jackson's apparently willingness to push the situation forward is perhaps the most impactful chapter of this saga to date, one that finally hints at the inevitable endgame … except for one problem: Which team is making this - or any - offer?.
