Ravens' Lamar Jackson Impressing Early at Workouts
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson needed one day to impress those at the facility. As the team began their first phase of offseason workouts, everyone is taking notice to their MVP's leadership and readiness.
Jackson turned heads during arrival day with a slimmer physique. Then, once he was in the building, everyone started to notice - not that it is anything - that he's already prepared to come in and win for this team once again.
During the first phase of the program, strength and conditioning coach Scott Elliott is already seeing the leadership side of Jackson match his gifted ability.
"He's a magnet. Everybody sees it," Elliott said to local reporters. "... In the weight room. Out here running. How physically gifted he is is just one aspect of it, but his personality that's paired with it, guys are drawn to it. Then, there's the competitive nature in all of us. I'd say all of us in the building are drawn toward Lamar's personality. So, having him engage with us and bought in has just been incredible."
The 27-year-old is coming off a career best season with 3,678 passing yards and 24 touchdowns, with 821 rushing yards and five scores on the ground. The Ravens remain a top contender in the AFC, and with Jackson leading the way, they'll continue to feel like a threat to any opponent.
