Lamar Jackson Help: Ravens Draft Elite WR in Latest NFL Mock

The Ravens are in need of weapons on offense and that is something they address in this mock draft.
In this story:

After their playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the Baltimore Ravens turned their attention to the offseason with the hope of revamping the roster.

Of course, the elephant in the room is the status of quarterback Lamar Jackson's contract situation. However, while there is no telling if Jackson will be a Raven next season, if he is in Baltimore moving forward he will need more weapons to work with.

To get Jackson said help, Lance Zierlein's latest mock draft has the Ravens selecting an elite receiver with their first-round pick.

No. 22 - Quentin Johnson - WR (TCU)

If I were in the Ravens' draft room, I would be pushing to take Bijan Robinson in this spot. But Baltimore will likely be on a quest to find a legitimate pass-catching weapon, and Johnston has those traits.

The Ravens only averaged 178.8 yards per game through the air last season, while Jackson himself averaged 186.8. It didn't help that the Ravens dealt with multiple injuries throughout the season, leaving tight end Mark Andrews to be the leading receiver with 847 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 73 receptions.

Enter Quentin Johnson. In his final season at TCU Johnson recorded 1,069 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 60 receptions.

While Zierlien mentioned his affinity for drafting Texas running back Bijan Robinson here, Johnson makes more sense. The Ravens have stability at the running back position and adding Johnson could elevate Jackson - and potentially open up Baltimore's passing attack.
