'No One Knows If Lamar Jackson Will Play This Year' - NFL Analyst on Ravens Talks

The Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson are still at loggerheads over a contract dispute, with ESPN's Jeremy Fowler stating the relationship between the pair isn't good.
In this story:

The Lamar Jackson contract situation and the Baltimore Ravens' inability to come to the party as such with a contract worthy of the star quarterback, the relationship between player and franchise is naturally strained.

But how strained?

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler appeared on Sportscenter and stated that everything is on the table right now and detailed the relationship between Jackson and Baltimore.

"The feeling there in Baltimore is that the relationship with Lamar Jackson is tenuous at best," Fowler said via The Bleacher Report. "No one truly knows whether he's going to sign that tag or even play this year, nothing is a slam dunk right now, so Baltimore has to think of its options."

Given Lamar's want for a guaranteed contract of a certain number, and the Ravens' unwillingness to give it to him, talks are at a standstill.

Jackson is an MVP winner and has a regular season record of 45-16, yet no deal has been forthcoming...and there is a feeling that if the type of contract Jackson wants has yet to be put forward, then it likely won't.

Such has been the odd feeling with the whole contract situation, at the pre-draft press conference, the Ravens refused to answer any Jackson-related questions. When a reporter asked about the situation, things got a little tense.

There appears to be no signs of this saga coming to a swift solution, and with Jackson not yet signing the non-exclusive franchise tag, many wonder what the Ravens will do if Jackson doesn't sign the tender.

Taking a quarterback in the upcoming draft has been touted as a possible option, but everything is up in the air with the Ravens' quarterback situation.
