Lamar Jackson vs. Josh Allen MVP Debate: Angry Host Walks Off Skip Bayless Set

Baltimore Ravens' Lamar Jackson vs. Bills' Josh Allen MVP Debate: Angry FS1 Host Walks Off Skip Bayless Set

Because we know Skip Bayless as well as we do, we stand by our prediction that eventually, his ex-NFL co-hosts will eventually exit his "Undisputed'' show because of his cartoonishly fraudulent on-air and off-air personality.

Right, Shannon Sharpe?

But for now, a blowup on the FS1 show featuring Keyshawn Johnson vs. Richard Sherman regarding their takes on the MVP race will have to do.

Sherman's view? With all due respect to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, he argued that either Tyreek Hill or Christian McCaffrey should win the MVP of the league.

Keyshawn Johnson found Sherm's take so offensive that he blew up and marched off the set on live TV.

Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson

Sherman's view, in comparison to Lamar, is pro-Josh Allen - and there is not much wrong with that.

"Josh Allen has 40 total touchdowns right now,'' Sherman said. "He’s accounted for 83 percent of his team’s touchdowns, 83. No QB is more important to their team right now than Josh Allen is to the Buffalo Bills.

"So you can argue whatever you want to argue, you can walk off, because that means you don’t have the power to make a conscious argument.''

Is Sherman "against'' Lamar? Of course not. But he's focusing (maybe too much?) on how the Baltimore Ravens manhandled the San Francisco 49ers on Monday.

"The Baltimore Ravens' defense had five turnovers,'' he said. "When we watch that game, and you watch them play against one of the best offenses in the NFL and they have five turnovers and you tell me, 'Lamar Jackson is the reason they won that game,' then I have a hard time with that."

As Sherman was making this point, Johnson lifted himself out of his chair and walked off the set.

What we like about the exchange? Two things. It seemed sincere. And it was passionate.

What we didn't like about the exchange? Two things. Lamar Jackson is going to be an MVP finalist, and deservedly so. And smart consumers of NFL football should universally wish it'd be Bayless who'd take a walk.
