Ravens Meet with Notre Dame Running Back Audric Estime
The Baltimore Ravens are expected to be players in free agency this offseason, particularly at running back.
Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins are both expected to hit the open market this month when free agency kicks off on March 13, and general manager Eric DeCosta will need to add some bodies either in the draft or from elsewhere.
At the NFL Combine this week in Indianapolis, DeCosta and Ravens officials met with Notre Dame Fighting Irish back Audric Estime.
In Estime's last season at Notre Dame, he registered career highs with 1,483 yards and 18 touchdowns while catching 17 passes for 147 yards.
"That's just a great opportunity," Estime said at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine. "I had John [Harbaugh] in a room, and it's just a great opportunity.
"They think high of me."
Estime indicated he think he'd fit right in alongside Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson.
"Lamar is a great player," Estime said. "They're a great team as a whole and I think I would be a very good fit and I would love to play for them."
DeCosta: Ravens Need 'More Than Two' RBs
The projection by some draft experts is that Estime will be a fourth-round pick, and if that's the case, the pick would be an example of a low-risk, high-reward selection.
The Ravens will need to add bodies at running back, and Estime - with his pass-catching prowess could be a good fit for Baltimore.
