BREAKING: Ravens Draft Stanford CB Kyu Blu Kelly in Fifth Round
After drafting Ole Miss outside linebacker Tavius Robinson in the fourth round, the Baltimore Ravens have continued to bolster their defense in the fifth round.
With the No. 157 overall pick, the Ravens selected Stanford cornerback Kyu Blu Kelly, the third defender in as many picks for Baltimore.
Per SI's Draft Bible, Kelly is a "physical press corner that plays through the ball and locks down the boundary" and was given a third-round grade, making him a strong value pick for the Ravens.
Kelly, who stands 6-0, 191 pounds, earned second team All-Pac-12 honors each of the past two seasons for the Cardinal. The Las Vegas, Nev., native led the Pac-12 and ranked No. 20 nationally with 12 passes defended.
The 21-year-old is the son of Brian Kelly, who played collegiately at USC before spending 11 seasons in the NFL - 10 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and one with the Detroit Lions, ultimately retiring in 2008.
Kelly will join Boston College receiver Zay Flowers, Clemson linebacker Trenton Simpson and the aforementioned Robinson as Baltimore's selections, giving the team an infusion of young, highly athletic players.
The Ravens will be on the clock again in the sixth round at No. 199 overall, which is currently scheduled to be their final selection of this year's draft.
