Ravens Draft: Baltimore Picks Zay Flowers As Lamar Jackson Help?

Boston College receiver Zay Flowers has hinted that he would like the chance to link up with fellow South Florida native Lamar Jackson.
In this story:

The Baltimore Ravens need offensive help. Not just in trying to get quarterback Lamar Jackson signed to a new deal but also in the receiver room.

One player who wants to be on Baltimore's radar is Boston College receiver Zay Flowers. With the Ravens holding the 22nd pick in the draft, taking Flowers could be a superb pick...and the player himself is intrigued by the idea of linking up with Jackson.

"Playing with Lamar, that would be a South Florida connection – two dynamic players going out there to make plays every game," Flowers stated at the NFL Combine.

With tight end Mark Andrews the star on offense, he didn't get much help from receivers last season, as Demarcus Robinson was 389 yards and 25 receptions behind Andrews in second place for both stats.

Adding Flowers could easily alleviate the pressure on Andrews to be "the guy" on offense consistently. Flowers had a career year for Boston College, totaling 1,077 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns from 78 receptions.

Adding a receiver with that production level would only mean good things for a Ravens offense that desperately needs help in the receiver room.

While the contract status of Jackson is the dark cloud looming over the organization, the draft could present a chance to add a serious weapon to utilize for Todd Monken in his first year on the job.

Perhaps the South Florida connection could sway the Ravens into taking Flowers, should he still be available when the time comes for Baltimore to pick in the first round or later in the draft.

With the defense already in the upper echelon in the NFL, the offense needs to step up its game, and it could do so by grabbing Flowers.
