Fox Sports' Nick Wright 'Not Buying' Ravens as Super Bowl Team

The Baltimore Ravens have the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a 9-3 record, but Fox Sports' Nick Wright isn't sold on John Harbaugh's team as a Super Bowl threat.
In this story:

The Baltimore Ravens are, through 12 weeks, exactly where they wanted to be, sitting on top of their division and currently holding the No. 1 seed in the AFC as they approach their bye week.

After the 20-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, the Ravens made it six wins out of their last seven games, as they are one of the most in-form teams in the NFL.

But despite that, the performances have been clunky, and we haven't seen the Ravens really "click" since the 37-3 demolition of the Seattle Seahawks.

For Fox Sports' Nick Wright, despite Baltimore holding the No. 1 seed in the AFC, he isn't sold on them being a genuine Super Bowl team.

"I do not look at the Ravens as a juggernaut," Wright said on the What’s Wright? Show. "They have an excellent defense, and Lamar [Jackson] can be dynamic, but I don't think Lamar played very well in that Chargers game. I don't think Lamar's played that well since that Lions game. So, no, I'm not buying the Ravens as a real Super Bowl team."

The Ravens, for the most part, have been good value, and as good teams do, when they don't play well, they still stack the wins. But the inconsistencies on offense have likely meant that some, like Wright, aren't sold on the Ravens as a Super Bowl threat.

However, sitting at 9-3 and with the No. 1 in their grasp, the Super Bowl will run through Baltimore in the AFC if things go well.

It is also worth mentioning that the Ravens still have to play the Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins and the Pittsburgh Steelers to finish their season, so a lot can change.

But as far as Baltimore not being a genuine Super Bowl team right now, if having the best record in the conference and the No. 1 seeding doesn't at least have you in the conversation, then what will?
