Ravens' Beckham Jr. Playing vs. Pittsburgh Steelers? 'I Expect To Be Out There'

After missing the last two games due to an ankle injury, Baltimore Ravens receiver Odell Beckham Jr. likes his chances of suiting up on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

One of the biggest question marks surrounding the Baltimore Ravens' signing of Odell Beckham Jr. was whether or not he could stay healthy.

Unfortunately, Beckham Jr. managed just two games before being sidelined with an ankle injury. Having missed the last fortnight as he deals with it, there is some good news on the horizon for Baltimore...OBJ is nearing a return.

But when? Well, on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers if he has his way.

"Yes, I expect to be out there," Beckham said via the team's official website. "We'll see what we have going on in the gameplan. I feel good, just feel good to be back out there. It's tough when you work so hard, and little things happen … but I'm just focused on the present and happy to be back out there."

In Odell's absence, the Ravens are 1-1 and are coming off a 28-3 beatdown of the Cleveland Browns that moved them to 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in the division.

Todd Monken's offense has still looked rather clunky, but there are signs that things are slowly starting to click...and that was without Beckham Jr.

As the unit gets used to Monken's system, the important thing is that the team is still picking up wins at this early stage, all the while taking a stranglehold of the division lead.

If a win is secured against the Steelers, the Ravens will already be 3-0 against their division opponents, which will be made even better because the offense hasn't hit its stride yet.

For Beckham Jr., he knows what to expect on Sunday against the Steelers, having faced them during his time in Cleveland.

"I know the history between the two, so I don't imagine it being any different than when I was in Cleveland," Beckham said. "This whole division is a tough group for these four teams to go against each other."

Baltimore has started the season well and sits atop the AFC North. The team hasn't put together a complete game yet, which would make the rest of the NFL nervous.

If they can "click" on Sunday and, as Monken alluded to earlier in the week, add in some more explosive plays, Baltimore could already have two hands on the division title.
