Baltimore Ravens Odell Beckham Jr. Touchdown Incoming? 'It's Going to Happen!'

Baltimore Ravens receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is yet to grab a touchdown this season, but Lamar Jackson says it's coming.
In this story:

The Baltimore Ravens offense has weapons that are the envy of the league, but one weapon- Odell Beckham Jr.- has yet to really fire this season.

The receiver has yet to grab himself a touchdown, although it's not through a lack of trying and against the Arizona Cardinals, Beckham Jr. has chances to score, but defensive pass interference calls meant that the defenders were simply doing anything to stop him from catching the football.

This, of course, led to frustration on the sidelines from Odell, as he slammed his helmet on the ground. But with the receiver not having a single catch against the Cardinals, despite multiple chances to haul in a touchdown, Lamar Jackson says that it's only a matter of time before OBJ gets on the scoreboard.

“Absolutely,” Jackson said. “They just holding him. I believe they got to. It’s OBJ he’s going to catch the ball. They got to do their best to keep him away from the ball and they doing a good job of it right now. But he going to get on the scoreboard. I believe this happening fast, it’s going to come, it's going to happen.”

Beckham Jr. had four targets against Arizona and didn't manage to haul in any, but the pass interference calls made it impossible for him, too.

What also made it difficult for Beckham Jr. to process was that several pass interference calls were on potential touchdown grabs as well. For Jackson, it was a case of what might have been, and stated that he really wanted Beckham Jr. to score.

"I’m trying to get him a touchdown," Jackson said. "It would have been great if it would have been touchdowns instead of [pass interferences], but we appreciate the calls. We just have to keep getting after it because we need him to score, and he deserves it.”

With a player of Odell's caliber, it makes sense for the Ravens offense to try and get him the ball, and his lack of production isn't from a lack of trying. Eventually, it will break his way.

Will that be against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday? Clint Hurtt's defense will need to be on Beckham Jr. watch in the redzone because you can bet your bottom dollar that the ball will be coming his way.
