Odell Beckham Jr.'s Ravens Touchdown 'Played Out Perfectly!' vs. Seattle Seahawks
The Baltimore Ravens took the Seattle Seahawks' soul in a 37-3 win at M&T Bank Stadium, and for receiver Odell Beckham Jr., the day couldn't have gone better.
Coming off a zero-catch game the previous week against the Arizona Cardinals, Beckham Jr. went back to work and had his best game of the season, hauling in five catches for 56 yards and, finally, a Ravens touchdown.
But what about the play itself that led to his first score as a Raven?
“It was something that we seen on tape, Monk [Todd Monken] had said it was going to happen just like that,” Beckham Jr. said. “I ran that route plenty of times, and it played out perfectly. Just drew it up, we executed, and it just feels great [to score a touchdown].”
After being up-and-down to start his Ravens career, some questioned the move. After having his injury troubles and due to a lack of form, there wasn't much to get excited about from a fan's perspective about Odell.
But a player of his caliber never wavers in their ability to take chances when they come their way, and for Odell, he never lost confidence despite a rocky start to life in Baltimore.
“Every time I’ve gone out there recently, just try and reset the clock no matter what kind of game I had and be like, today’s the day, and it was definitely that.”
With Odell now getting his first touchdown and all the emotion that surrounds it out of the way, he can now focus on what's in front of him this season.
After his best game of the season, attention now turns to replicating that against the Cleveland Browns, and based on his confidence level, this just might be the start of a fruitful Odell era in Baltimore.
