Three Needs For Ravens In Important 2024 Offseason
There aren't a lot of positions that a team like the Baltimore Ravens needs to address after a conference championship appearance.
Like 30 other teams though, the reason why the Ravens are not hoisting a Lombardi Trophy this season has more to do with what the team does not have as opposed to what led them to a 13-4 regular season.
Luckily for Baltimore, their needs aren't exactly positions that are in dire need of changes. As the Senior Bowl rolls on, and the rest of the league prepares for Super Bowl LVIII, this is as good a time as any to see where the Ravens need improvements.
Tackle
Ronnie Stanley, Patrick Mekari, and Morgan Moses all dealt with injuries this season. So much so that despite the team's success on offense, questions about their continued viability will sure to be asked.
It would be wise for the Ravens to address the depth of their offensive line, whether that be in the draft or free agency. There are certainly other questions the group will have to address in terms of their talents, but getting strong tackles that are healthy is so important to keeping MVP front-runner Lamar Jackson upright.
Wide Receiver
Zay Flowers had a terrific year in 2023 but the need for a competent second option will be important for Baltimore this offseason. Odell Beckham Jr. is a free agent, and the team has not gotten enough from Rashod Bateman so acquiring another receiver will be extremely important.
This could be a position that the Ravens target in the 2024 NFL Draft over spending money on a free agent.

Outside Linebacker
You can never have enough pass rushers when it comes to the loaded AFC. The Ravens learned that the hard way as they struggled to bring Patrick Mahomes down in the AFC Championship game.
With Jadeveon Clowney expected to be a free agent, the clear idea for Baltimore is to bolster their defensive unit with a couple more pass rushers whether it be in free agency or the draft.
