Deebo Samuel Says Ravens' Lamar Jackson Is 'Out Of This World'
Ahead of their Christmas Day matchup, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel spoke about Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and the season he is having.
"That man is playing out of this world right now," Samuel said via Up & Adams. "Real talented, strong arm, can play the game. Lamar is a guy, he has everything that you look for. Just looking at him week in and week out, he's always doing something amazing, it just shows how good he is at the game."
Jackson has started every game for the Ravens this season, completing a career-high 66.3 percent of his passes for 3,105 yards and 17 touchdowns while also rushing for 741 yards and five touchdowns.
Samuel has been almost as electric, catching 49 passes for 787 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for an additional 172 yards and five touchdowns.
Baltimore currently holds sole possession of first place in the AFC with an 11-3 record while at the same time, San Francisco is in an identical position in the NFC with the same record.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is currently leading the MVP race with -200 odds, but Jackson is creeping up on the second-year quarterback at +500 to win the award.
The winner of the game on Christmas day will likely be the MVP favorite heading into the final two games of the season, with Jackson looking for his second in his sixth season.
