Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson Returning To MVP Level
Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson has gotten off to his best start to a season since he won the MVP in 2019.
Through five weeks, Jackson has an 89.3 grade on PFF, his highest since his unanimous MVP season in 2019 when he had a 90.1 grade for the entire season. He is currently the second-highest graded quarterback in the NFL behind Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, who has a 90.6 grade.
Jackson has an 86.7 pass grade and a 75.2 run grade on the season and has been the most accurate quarterback on throws of 10 or more yards this year. In Baltimore's most recent game, a 17-10 loss on the road to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jackson had the highest grade of anyone on the team, finishing the game with a 94.6 PFF grade. It was the highest grade of any quarterback in the NFL for Week 5 and Jackson's season-high.
On the season, Jackson has tallied 1,030 passing yards and four passing touchdowns while completing 69.9% of his passes. He has also got it done on the ground, rushing for another 265 yards and four touchdowns.
Despite his excellent play to start the year, the Ravens are just 3-2 after losing close games to the Steelers and the Indianapolis Colts. Against Pittsburgh, Jackson lost a fumble late in the fourth quarter that put a serious dent in Baltimore's chance of winning the game.
The Ravens will be traveling across the pond for their Week 6 matchup against the Tennessee Titans in London. The game will be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 15 at 9:30 a.m.
