Big Day In Store For Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson vs. Jaguars?
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is in the midst of yet another MVP-caliber season, and he could continue it with a strong performance on national television against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The 26-year-old star quarterback has completed a career-high 66.8 percent of his passes this season for 2,934 yards and 16 touchdowns while rushing for an additional 644 yards and five touchdowns.
He is just 194 passing yards away from setting a new career-high, breaking the mark he set in his MVP season of 3,127 yards in 15 games. If he manages to throw for at least 194 yards against the Jaguars, he will have done it in one less game.
Hitting that mark this week may be easier than expected, as the Jacksonville defense, specifically the secondary, has been porous over the last few weeks. It has allowed three-straight games of at least 300 passing yards to Joe Flacco, Jake Browning and C.J. Stroud. Those three quarterbacks combined to complete 71.2 percent of their passes against the Jaguars.
Jackson is currently third in MVP odds on Fanduel Sportsbook at +650, behind Dak Prescott at +150 and Brock Purdy at +140. While there is a gap that Jackson needs to close, there is no better time to do that than on Sunday Night Football against a quality team.
