Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins suffered another season-ending injury last season, the second of his young NFL career.

Dobbins missed all of the 2021 season with a meniscus injury and almost all of 2023 after an Achilles tear suffered in Week 1 against Houston.

Now, five-plus months since the injury, Dobbins is making progress with his rehab.

On Thursday, Dobbins posted video of himself sprinting and appearing to be running well in a straight line.

Unfortunately for Dobbins, this season-ender was in a contract year, and will likely have a negative effect on his negotiating.

In four seasons with the Ravens, Dobbins has played in just 24 of 67 possible games and has not been the picture of reliability that teams look for, especially at the running back position.

The NFL has already devalued the position and if a player cannot remain healthy, he's of little use to an organization.

The injury likely means a smaller contract than he would have signed if he had played a full season and stayed healthy in 2023. But at least it looks like he’s getting closer to being healthy and back on the field in 2024.
